Considering Perspectives

Perhaps one look is not enough to obtain a good idea.

Saying "I have seen this, I don't need to look at it again" hinders one to see images that no one may have seen before.

Don't be shy to tilt your head when looking at paintings. Look at an object from different angles. Keep or improve the curiosity you have as a child: that you see the world as always fresh.

Mindplay

Poetry to light up thee
Words that range from bop to strange
Abysmal kiss to your delight
A line will fade in mysts tonight
__________________________________________________________________________________

I have a theory that everyone has their own game that they play inside their head. Whether it's remembering events, connecting words, analyzing music, or comparing people. A game that keeps the mind busy when it is supposedly idle. It runs subconsciously.

For the case of this blog's writer, one of his mindplays is rhyming words; when an object is thought of, that object would be directly linked to another object whose name is a rhyme of the first. From boxes to vixens and hacks and omens, the mind is free of boundaries.

I bet you also have one. Care to share what's yours?

Coffee for productivity

Ideas can come from anything that can be perceived. Or imagination that you can believe.

Try this activity...

1) Look around and list 3 things that caught your interest. No cheating. Do not let the mind have a bias.

2) Close your eyes and imagine yourself in a place where you want to be. Try to remember the objects or events. When you had enough, add new objects to the list

3) Review what you have written and try to relate all or most the objects. What you have written reflects how you think.

4) It's up to you what you want to do with what you got, whether you want to make good use of it or pass it up

Preserve your thoughts. Great achievements start by putting ideas into use

Waiting for the right mood

Waiting for something to hit you before starting to be productive.

This has been a bad habit that I'm trying to fix now. Whatever the reason is, when I do not feel like doing what I'm supposed to be doing, I tend to...

1. walk around the house
2. look for food
3. see what's happening outside
4. surf the net
5. surf some more
6. surf a lot more
7. ..........
8. and a whole lot of other things (like what I'm doing right now)

Hopefully, this can be fixed soon by...

1. Letting the mind wander, but jot down whatever the mind thought of
2. Blogging
3. Replacement with productive habits
4. .........., but also write down what you have observed
5. Having timed short breaks
6. Being aware of oneself

I'm gonna try #2 and #6 first until I get my freedom

What do you do when you want to be "in the mood"?
